MTA Symposium: Panel on Social Media and Charting

I did a panel last month at the Annual Market Technicians Association with an all star cast. We discussed using social media as a marketing tool, a method of disseminating a message and defining yourself. My favorite part as a professional though happens towards the end at about the 32 minute mark, after an audience question from Louise Yamada and Gail Gudack and a few others about how to balance what you give away for free with what you want to keep for clients. The interaction really ramped up.

The panel included Ralph Acampora, the Godfather of Technical Analysis, Charlie Bilello , winner of the MTA Dow Award, and JC Parets and was moderated by Phil Pearlman of Yahoo Finance. Quite a lively discussion given that it was at 7:30 am on a Friday morning, the last day of the conference and after Gala Dinner. (JC shared this video earlier, if you have already watched it, it has not changed.)
