Carl Jung, Twitter and Barry Ritholtz

Some 2 and a half years ago I threw down some thoughts on how twitter was changing the trading community. The ability to connect traders around the globe instantaneously has created a kind of neural network. A collective trading brain. Twitter created the physical connection along the same line that Carl Jung had explored with his two concepts of the Collective Conscious and Synchronicity. Last week Barry Ritholtz in the Washington Post showed how that Collective Conscious of twitter has come to life and is now your first source of news. The tweet-crash this week added to both showing that it can also be a self correcting conscious. Could Dr. Jung have predicted that the Collective Conscious could come alive?
Its Alive!
This transformation has been rapid and in many areas. Crowd sourced funding, the business my friend Leigh Drogen started at Estimize are two more areas where the collective has been taking control. What will be next? I cannot wait to see.
