2013 – The Year of the Marubozu

The Major Markets nearly all experienced Marubozu candlesticks when viewed on an annual basis. My son helped to explain the Marubozu candle earlier this year if it is new to you. This is a big deal. A Marubozu shows three important features. First, the direction of the market over the time period. Opening at one end of the candle and finishing at the other shows one way flow. The size of the candle shows the strength of that flow. These were not small candles. There was a real move. Third, the lack of shadows, or wicks, shows that commitment to the move. One way flow, with strength and commitment is often a sign of continued strength going forward. Marubozu. Here are a few.
